Each page is rebuilt as a high-resolution image so the design stays identical — text in the result can't be selected. Machine translation can make mistakes, so review important documents.

How it works

01

Drop your PDF

It opens inside your browser. Choose the language you want and, if you like, only the pages you need.

02

Text is translated in context

Each paragraph is found, translated by AI, then set back in its original spot with matching size, weight and colour. Scanned pages are read with built-in OCR.

03

Download the result

A same-size PDF saves to your device — with a preview so you can check the first page before you open it.

Why this translator

Your file never uploads

The PDF is processed on your device. Only the extracted words are sent for translation — never the document, its images or its metadata.

Layout comes first

Backgrounds, logos, charts and tables aren't touched. Translated text shrinks to fit its original space instead of breaking the page.

Works with any script

Latin, Cyrillic, Arabic, Hebrew, Devanagari, Chinese, Japanese, Korean and more — including right-to-left languages.

Frequently asked questions

Will my fonts and layout really stay the same?

Everything that isn't text — images, backgrounds, lines, logos, charts — is kept pixel for pixel. Translated text is placed in the original position with the same size, colour, bold/italic style and a matching serif, sans-serif or monospace face. The exact original typeface isn't reused, and long translations are slightly reduced in size to fit their space.

Is my PDF uploaded to a server?

No. The file is opened and rebuilt inside your browser. Only the plain text of each paragraph is sent, through our secure server, to the translation engine and the result is sent straight back. We don't store your text or your file.

Which languages are supported?

Over 35, including English, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Italian, Dutch, Russian, Arabic, Hebrew, Hindi, Bengali, Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), Japanese, Korean, Turkish, Vietnamese, Thai and Indonesian. Leave "Translate from" on auto-detect for most documents.

Can it translate scanned PDFs or photos of documents?

Yes. Pages without a text layer are read with OCR in your browser (the first run downloads a small language pack). For the best accuracy, choose the document's language in "Translate from" instead of auto-detect.

Why can't I select text in the translated PDF?

To guarantee the layout matches the original in every language and on every device, each page is saved as a high-resolution image. Choose "Maximum" quality if you plan to print.

How accurate is the translation?

AI translation is very good for everyday documents, but it can miss context, names or specialist terms. For contracts, medical, legal or official documents, have a qualified person review the result.

Are there file size or page limits?

Up to 50 MB and 150 pages per run. For longer documents, use the Pages field to translate them in parts, for example 1-100 and then 101-200.

Does it work with password-protected PDFs?

Not directly. Remove the password in your PDF viewer first, then translate the unlocked copy.

Some text looks smaller or tight. Can I fix it?

Some languages need more room than others (German and Russian are often longer than English). The tool shrinks text to fit, so try "Maximum" quality for crisper small text, or translate into a more compact language.

Is it free?

Yes. Fair-use limits apply so the translation service stays fast for everyone.
