Frequently asked questions
Everything you need to know about cleaning up your photos.
How does the Image Cleaner work?
The tool processes your image in your browser using blur correction, edge sharpening, noise reduction and contrast adjustments. You can adjust each setting and compare the result with the original before downloading.
Are my photos uploaded to a server?
The image-processing code runs locally in your browser and does not send the selected photo to a processing server. Your browser still loads this website and its external resources, such as Google Fonts.
Which image formats are supported?
You can select common browser-supported image formats, including JPG, PNG and WebP. The browser must be able to decode the selected image.
What is the difference between Light, Balanced and Strong?
Light applies gentler adjustments, Balanced provides a moderate combination of settings, and Strong applies more aggressive correction. Results depend on the original photo, so try different presets and fine-tune the sliders.
Can this tool fix every blurry photo?
No. It can improve the appearance of mild blur and soft edges, but cannot reliably recover details that were never captured. Severe motion blur, extreme defocus or very low-resolution images may remain blurry.
Does enlarging an image create real detail?
The 2× enlargement increases the pixel dimensions using browser image scaling. It does not use an AI model to invent new details, so a larger image may not look sharper than the original.
Can I download my cleaned image as JPG or PNG?
Yes. Choose PNG for lossless image output or JPG for a compressed image. JPG does not support transparency, so transparent areas are filled with white when exporting to JPG.
Why does processing take longer for large images?
Image processing uses your device's browser and memory. Large photos and stronger correction settings require more calculations. The tool reduces very large source images before processing to help manage memory use.
Will the downloaded photo contain the original EXIF metadata?
The image is reconstructed from canvas pixels before download, so the original file's EXIF metadata is not carried over in the exported image.
Is YourView Tools Image Cleaner free to use?
